Overview

We are seeking an individual with a flexible schedule for variable hours. Coverage possibilities span seven days a week and can occur anywhere from 8a-8p. This position is considered PRN/On-Call and will primarily be utilized to cover PTO and/or call-ins for our two full-time team members.

Responsibilities

The Communications Clerk provides multi-line phone coverage for the facility in conjunction with reception and clerical duties. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

As the first point of contact for our hospital, you’ll be the friendly face and reassuring voice that sets the tone for every experience. Your role is more than answering phones or greeting guests—you’ll be the heartbeat of our front desk, ensuring smooth operations, supporting multiple teams, and making every patient, visitor or vendor feel welcome.
 
Ideal candidate will:
Warmly welcome and provide information to patients, visitors and vendors.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
Maintain a tidy, organized reception area that reflects our hospital’s professionalism.
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and mail handling.
Collaborate with different departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
Possess previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role.

Qualifications

  • Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Requires multi-line phone system experience.
