Overview

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across inpatient and outpatient settings with a strong focus on neurological rehabilitation, including stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson’s disease, and other complex neuro conditions. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with a variety of conditions, with an emphasis on neurological diagnoses.
  • Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life for patients recovering from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, TBI, and other complex conditions.
  • Participate in our specialized Parkinson’s Program, offering therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate smooth transitions of care.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on exercises, home programs, and disease management.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule & Setting Details
Inpatient/Outpatient:
  • Participate in our Parkinson’s Program and provide therapy for a diverse neuro population.
  • Weekend requirement: One weekend day per month.
  • Holiday requirement: Standard inpatient holiday rotation.
Outpatient:
  • Typical schedule: 7:00a – 4:00p or 8:00a - 5:00p (facility hours 7:00a – 6:00p)
  • No weekends are required for outpatient therapists.
  • Holiday requirement: 1 major holiday per year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s) to support the inpatient team.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.
  • New graduates are welcome – extensive mentorship and training available.
  • Outpatient experience preferred (required for outpatient-only roles).
  • Strong interest in neurological rehabilitation and commitment to ongoing professional growth.
  • Preferred certifications (not required):
    • LSVT BIG or PWR!Moves® (Parkinson’s)
    • Stroke rehabilitation (CSRS)
    • Brain injury rehabilitation
    • Kinesio Taping
  • Experience: One year of clinical experience preferred.
