Overview

The Corporate Human Resources (HR) Business Partner serves as a key member of the PAM Health Human Resources team, providing both strategic and operational HR support to Employee Services and the Internal Travel Program. This role is responsible for overseeing daily HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies, managing employee relations, and HR project initiatives.

 

In addition, this position partners with Corporate HR leadership on enterprise-wide HR projects and initiatives, including process improvements, HR systems optimization, employee engagement programs, and policy implementation. The Corporate HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to management and employees, promoting a positive workplace culture and alignment with PAM Health’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

Employee Services, Internal Travel Program, and PAM Physician Enterprises

  • Serves as the primary HR liaison for inquiries and employee relations as it relates to employee injuries, travelers and other areas as assigned.
  • Coordinates staffing agreements, assignments, and communications for the Internal Travel Program between travelers, HR, and facility leadership.
  • Partners with the Regional Talent Engagement Manager and Vice President of Human Resources to support hiring and full-cycle onboarding for the Internal Travel program and PAM Physician Enterprises.
  • Assists with injury reporting, workers’ compensation claims, and compliance tracking.
  • Leads employee services initiatives to streamline processes to include process automation as applicable.
  • Supports employees through all stages of employment including but not limited to: FMLA requests, benefit enrollment, education and tuition reimbursement and license renewals.
  • Promotes a positive employee experience and culture of engagement across all corporate resource teams.

Corporate HR Projects and Strategic Initiatives

  • Supports and leads HR projects and process improvement initiatives by collaborating with the Vice President of Human Resources on development and rollout of enterprise-wide HR programs, processes and initiatives.
  • Assists in creating and implementing policies, procedures, and tools that improve HR efficiency and consistency across PAM Health.
  • Provides HR reporting, analytics, and insights as required to support strategic decision-making and departmental compliance.
  • Partners in the design and coordination of corporate engagement programs, training, and culture initiatives.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support for HR committees, leadership meetings, and corporate HR projects as assigned.

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Ensures compliance with all HR policies, employment laws, and regulatory standards across assigned functions.
  • Maintains oversight of accurate personnel and tracking files in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Manages HR compliance reporting, licensure and credential tracking.
  • Monitors adherence to hiring, compensation, and HR procedural standards; escalates concerns as appropriate.
  • Supports internal and external audits, providing documentation and reporting as requested.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, and HR documentation for leadership and administrative purposes.
  • Leads internal investigations, conducts compliance calls, exit interviews as necessary.
  • Identifies problems and involves others in seeking solutions; conducts appropriate analysis and searches for best solutions; effectively and efficiently implements appropriate responses to correct problems; responds promptly and effectively to new challenges
  • Provides guidance and support to company-wide managers as it relates to policy interpretation, compliance, and employee management best practices.
  • Strives for efficient, effective, high-quality performance in self and in the department; delivers timely and accurate results; resilient when responding to matters that are challenging; takes initiative to make improvements

Qualifications

Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Associate degree or equivalent HR experience may be considered in lieu of a four-year degree.

 

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with exposure to both operational and project-based HR functions. Experience supporting HR compliance, Employee Services, or internal staffing programs preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of HR policies, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and applicable HRIS systems.
