Overview

This person will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance and improvement of Nursing and Clinical Operations for the PAM Health system.  This position will require frequent travel (75% or more of the time).

Responsibilities

  •  Nursing and Clinical operations in assigned hospitals.
  • Assessing clinical workflow processes and implementing clinical and quality improvement processes in clinical practice areas to improve outcomes.
  • Reviewing data with assigned hospitals and identifying trends for focused improvement. Interpret results with clinical team and provide guidance to achieve goals.
  • Creating and implementing policies and procedures for clinical and quality operations in PAM Health hospitals.
  • Providing support and guidance to hospital and regional management regarding the clinical interface with administration.
  • Participating as part of the local and corporate team in survey preparedness and maintaining licensure and accreditation of PAM Health hospitals.
  • Assisting with the development and oversight of quality and clinical training at the hospitals.
  • Assisting with hospital clinically-related equipment purchases and training.
  • Representing PAM Health in a variety of professional and trade organizations.

Qualifications

Education and Training:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the state of residence, with the ability to become licensed in all states in which PAM Health operates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related field required.
  • Masters, preferred.
  • Specialty certification, licensure or experience preferred.

 

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in nursing, clinical or quality leadership role required.
  • Prior multi-facility healthcare administration experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong clinical, leadership, and management skills along with a high level of initiative and creative problem-solving.
  • Ability to effectively lead a project.
  • Ability to effectively express ideas and views when speaking or writing for groups, hospital managers, personnel, and patients/family members.
  • Ability to write reports, memoranda, etc.
  • Cognitive ability to gather and analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Ability to evaluate statistical data and to make various computations in planning departmental operations and budgets.
  • Organizational ability to direct and motivate professional and non-professional staff in performance of all activities.
  • Capacity to relate to people in a manner to win confidence and establish support.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize work and use time effectively with flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and the various details of the job.
  • Competence in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and other computer programs.
  • A valid license and the ability to drive an automobile.
  • The ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
