**Ideal candidates will possess a current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist/Respiratory Care Practitioner, ACLS/BLS and a minimum of one year of experience in acute care, critical care, ICU, long-term acute care hospitals (LTACH), or other hospital-based settings. 

 

This position is specifically intended for candidates willing to travel to Texarkana, Texas, from surrounding areas such as Shreveport, Bossier City, or other nearby locations in Louisiana. Our hospital has developed this role to support Registered Respiratory Therapists/Respiratory Care Practitioners interested in obtaining a temporary Texas license, with the associated licensure costs covered by PAM Health.

 

We are looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.

Qualifications

  • Education and Training: Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.  Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
