Overview

**Ideal candidates possess a background in acute care, critical care, or hospital settings as a Respiratory Therapist (RCP/RRT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), with a minimum of one year of experience. Additionally, candidates must hold certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), or be willing to obtain certification within one year of hire. Current certification in CPR/BLS is also required.  

 

Required: Respiratory Therapist, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Certified Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

Working under the direction of the Program Director and/or Safety Director, administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Physician.  Provides high quality and safe standard for patient care.  Communicates effectively with physicians and staff.  Ensures safe operation of hyperbaric chambers and supporting equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education and Training:   Must possess current certification or licensure as Respiratory Therapist, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Certified Medical Assistant. Has current CPR certification and maintains same.

Experience:   One year direct patient care experience required.  Must possess CHT or complete 40 hour UHMS approved Introductory Hyperbaric Medicine course and obtain CHT within one year of hire.
