The Radiology Manager provides radiology services to patients, oversees the operation of imaging equipment, processes images, as well as ensures equipment, supplies, and medications are maintained. The Radiology Manager is actively involved in department activities, transdisciplinary team activities, and PAM Health activities to ensure individualized, patient-centered health care for all patient populations admitted to a PAM Health Hospital.
Education and Training: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology. If performs CT scans, participates in ongoing education including annual training on safety, radiation dose reduction techniques for CT when applicable, Image Gently, and Image Wisely.
Licensure/Certification: Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology ® or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Ultrasound, and meets State requirements to perform ultrasound is required. The Radiology Manager must maintain current BLS and current Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for AART ® certification and state licensure for radiology while employed with PAM Health Hospitals. If the Radiology Manager performs ultrasounds he/she must also maintain current CME requirements for ASSRT or ARDMS certification in ultrasound. If performs CT, registration/certification in CT preferred.
If performs CT scans, primary registration and certification by ARRT or primary certification in nuclear medicine by NMTCB is required. Documentation of training and experience in the operation of CT equipment is required.
Minimum Work Experience: Requires two to five years Radiology experience in an acute or LTACH setting including prior CR/DR, PACS and RIS experience and at least two years prior supervisory experience. Two years CT or Ultrasound experience is preferred.
