The CRNP functions as an advanced practitioner providing healthcare for a caseload of patients in the area of clinical specialization. Examines and treats patients independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals following established standards and practices. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Relies on education, experience, professional training and judgment to accomplish responsibilities. Works under minimal supervision under the direction of the collaborating physician, as appropriate. May lead and/or direct the work of others within the scope of practice. The NP will assist collaborating physician, with work surrounding patient admissions and discharges.
Education and Training: Master’s degree with Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification from an accredited program. Current Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state where hospital resides. Current ACLS and Healthcare Provider/BLS certifications required. Current national certification with an accredited testing organization.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute experience preferred, but not required
